CPC Presents MASK OFF: A Dragon Con Party Labor Day Weekend in Atlanta,

About the event

The Cosplay Party Council (CPC) is most influential organization for cosplay convention (Con) entertainment at Dragon Con.  The CPC was formed at Dragon Con in 2019 out of a necessity to supply cosplayers with quality Con experience by providing the music that the audience wants to hear (Hip Hop, Afrobeat, Dancehall, Reggaeton and even popular intro themes from anime series & TV shows.  Perfect for a pop culture festivity in Atlanta, GA).  There are evening parties within the Dragon Con convention center but the music being played did not supply the the audience with what the real nightlife party goers want to hear.  Cosplayers and Dragon Con attendees alike wanted to hear what no parties of this generation (especially in Atlanta, GA) can do without, and it was HIPHOP.  Each member of the Cosplay Party Council are accomplished cosplayers, social media influencers and digital media artists.  It was at Dragon 2023 where we took our audience from the hotel lobbies at Dragon Con to an official after party venue, located at the Vanity restaurant and bar in Atlanta, GA, walking distance from the Dragon Con convention center.  Due to the massive success of that venue in 2023 and 2024, we are returning this year to Dragon Con 2025 by popular demand.  The Cosplay Party Council is here to provide (but not limited to) the ultimate night light experience at Dragon Con.

We want to immerse Dragon Con attendees in a fun environment that will enhance their convention experience. We offer professional DJ services with our own equipment in addition to photography, videography, hosting and performance, where all cosplayers / Dragon Con attendees will be able to dance until the sun comes up. Understanding that Dragon Con is the premiere pop culture convention on the planet, we plan to only enhance the Dragon Con experience. The goal of our event is to provide memorable party moments for all Dragon Con attendees in a safe and welcoming environment. We can host a party with hundreds of guests. The CPC understands cosplay culture because we are cosplayers ourselves. We also understand Atlanta culture which is why we plan to host a geeky party that represents Atlanta and cosplayers. This will be a fun event where cosplayers will be welcomed by people from their community.

Why should you sponsor?

• Reach new audiences and establish connections – It is an opportunity to stand out among competitors on their target customers. It also allows sponsors to foster relationships with them and with the existing patrons who attend the event.
• Maximum brand exposure – Sponsorship provides more extensive exposure and brand awareness than advertising which will only reach a limited audience. And it increases brand recognition by putting the company’s name and products on events.

Chris Carthern

Chris Carthern is the owner and founder of Shots by Shinobi. He was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a cosplayer and award-winning producer, writer, director and photographer. Chris is an executive producer at Cutting Edge Animation, and a social justice advocate that has devoted his career to self-producing diverse, incisive, and insightful content with the uncompromising intention of permanently changing the world for all underrepresented peoples. He loves to travel, has visited 40+ countries and lived in 4. Chris makes music and is also a podcast host on the Cosplay Alliance Podcast where they discuss pop culture, gaming, comics, mental health and cosplay. The formation of Shots by Shinobi was driven by the notable absence of diversity within the entertainment industry, particularly in positions of creative direction. Central to my mission is the conviction that representation is pivotal, and the storyteller behind the lens profoundly influences the narrative. Shots by Shinobi Productions was conceived to empower marginalized voices, offering a platform to those often excluded from mainstream opportunities.
